Safety Tips to Keep your Kids Safe this Halloween
Are you worried that your kid will have their safety at risk this Halloween? To prevent your kid from falling victim to an accident, here are some top safety tips to implement this Halloween:
- The costume: instead of opting for a face mask choose face paint. It allows your child to see better, which prevents trips and falls. Also, any capes or other attachments should be kept as short as possible for the same reasons. Finally, so that your child can easily be spotted in the dark consider a glow in the dark necklace, bracelet, or flashlight.
- Agree on the route: before letting your child leave the home, decide on the route that they are going to take. Make sure your child understands the route well and that there are a minimal amount of dangerous obstacles. For instance, a busy road or a street corner where cars may get in the way.
- Friends you can trust: ensure your kids do not go out alone during Halloween. If you cannot supervise them yourself, then they should be paired up with a trustworthy friend. Ideally, there should be several kids in the group so that more help is available should a group member need it.
